In approaching the question of forgiveness, the apostle Peter was given wise advice by Jesus when He told Peter:

"I say not unto the seven times, but seventy times seven." (Matthew 18:22)

Although a memory is not always a blessing, the ability to forgive and forget also has great value.

"God, teach me to forgive as You forgive.
Amen."
