The wise man who wrote Proverbs 22 gave us this wisdom in the first verse:

“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.”

We do well when we remember that our character will be remembered long after our wealth is forgotten.

"God, help me protect my name for Your name's sake.
