"If you don’t want anyone to know it, don’t do it." —Chinese proverb
A friend told me of a time his dad wanted him to finish planting a field. This friend had things he wanted to do so when he grew tired of planting he just buried the last of the seed at the end of the row. All too soon the field was bare, but the end of the row had the tell tale signs of the seeds he had sown.
We are reminded of the apostle Paul’s words in Galatians 6:7-10,
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
"God, forgive me for the times when the seeds I sowed were either sparse or the wrong kind.
Amen."
Serve God wholeheartedly.
