The Chaplain's Corner

Guest blogger, Chaplain Paul, is one of the most effective chaplains in America today. He is an emergency responder to every situation.

Hey, this is the Chaplain again. I have a question. If you were God - who would you choose to be the leader of your people?

Would it be a wanted murderer? Would you pick a fugitive from justice to carry the Ten Commandments? That’s what God did . . . Called his name through a burning bush. Scared old Moses right out of his sandals!

Then a few centuries later God picked a guy named David to be His hero, and even made him the King. But who was David? A puny little guy that started out as a sheep herder. A guy that had a real woman problem and even committed murder to get another’s man’s wife.

And what about the Apostle Paul? Early in his life he persecuted anybody that said they believed in Jesus. He tried his best to destroy the church; even killed Christians. But God used him to take the gospel to the world.

You see, God does not pick good people, or smart people, or pretty people. Just people. But He empowers them to do extra-ordinary things.

God is not looking for supersaints, or even superhumans. He just needs regular folks like you and me that will yield their lives totally to Him. You have no idea what God can do with your life – if you just give yourself completely to Him.
