Thursday, January 7th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

Life is what happens to us while we're busy planning more important things.

We should never miss all the beauty of the sunsets, our children's hugs, our spouses’ kisses, or the wags of our dogs' tails, worrying about something that will play itself out anyway.

Jesus in Matthew 6:33-34 reminds us with these words to put God first:

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

"God, Let me keep the important things in focus.
Amen."
