Wednesday, December 16th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

One day, in Springfield, a neighbor of Lincoln’s was drawn to his door by the sound of crying children. He saw Lincoln passing by with his two sons, both crying lustily. “What is the matter with the boys?” asked the man.

“The same that is the matter with the whole world!” answered Lincoln. “I have three walnuts, and each boy wants two.”

Now isn’t that the truth!

We find too many of the barnyard animals sitting around waiting on Henny Penny to plant the wheat, harvest the wheat, grind the wheat, and bake the bread. When the work is done, however, each wants his or her share. The apostle Paul said this about the same situation:
“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”
(2 Thessalonians 3:10)

"God, thank You for what You have blessed us with, even for the ability to be productive.
Amen."

Let Him be Lord of all.
