Wednesday, August 26th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

If you don’t go to God’s house, why should He go to yours?

I often hear folks rationalize why they don’t come to God’s house on Sunday or Wednesday nights or even Sunday mornings, and I think, “How sad to miss an opportunity to respond to the Heavenly Father’s invitation to spend time with Him.”

Some ask, “Why come when only a few attend anyway?”

The writer of Hebrews answers the question well with these words:
“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised); And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:23-25)
In this day and age in which we live, we each need all the encouraging we can get.

"God, thank You for letting me come into Your presence anytime and anywhere. But … I also thank you for letting me live in a country where I can gather with believers in Your house and worship with freedom.
Amen."

Encourage someone today with your faith.
