Tuesday, August 25th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“He was so benevolent, so merciful a man that he would have held an umbrella over a duck in a shower of rain.”
(Douglas William Jerrold)

One thing that would be said of a kind person is “He is one odd duck.” In many cases today, it is strange to see someone being kind, much less so compassionate.

May we attract attention with our acts of kindness today. If we really want to be strange, all we have to do is follow Jesus' advice:
“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.”
(Matthew 6:35-36)

"God, let me learn to have Your compassion and Your willingness to show kindness even to my enemies.
Amen."

Be the hands of God today giving aid to someone you may not even know.
