The writer of Proverbs 15:1 gives us this good advice:

“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.”

How many arguments could have been avoided this week had we only been willing not to have the last word? How much peace could have been purchased with these three words: “I was wrong”?

"God, help me to not only desire peace but to do what is necessary to walk in peace with You, with my family, and with my friends.
Amen."
