Somewhere there is an end to socialism, and it seems that the great state of California has just about discovered the edge of the cliff... and has stepped over that edge... and is clinging to a very fragile limb... and looking down a steep drop with a very rocky bottom.
Just imagine the turmoil that will take place if they truly do stop all the welfare programs... after all the dependence that has been created over the last sixty years of social "good will" efforts.
And, now the governor talks about the state being bankrupt, and stopping all the welfare programs? Can we say massive lawlessness breaking out in the streets?
Or, even as likely... the surrounding states... to California... might have to consider an influx of several million dependent citizens migrating their way... to soak up their state's welfare dollars...
State borders might become graced with new check points, with guards checking to verify those coming from California... and give them a firm but polite, "You're not welcome here!"

That doomsday scenario is on the table as lawmakers wrestle with a staggering $24.3 billion budget deficit.
County welfare directors are "in shock" at the very idea of getting rid of CalWORKs, which has been widely viewed as one of the most successful social programs in the state's history, said Bruce Wagstaff, director of the Department of Human Assistance in Sacramento.
"It's difficult to come up with the right adjective to react to this," Wagstaff said. "It would be devastating to the people we serve."....
