Sunday, May 24th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

A pastor was speaking to his people on the relationship between fact and faith. He said, “That you are sitting before me in this church—is fact. That I am standing here, speaking from this pulpit—is fact. That I believe anyone is listening to me—is faith!”

Whether you are a preacher, teacher or even parent, the quote above gives us food for thought. Is anyone really listening to me?

It is a matter of faith that we write or speak to others with the confidence the message is being received. Fortunately I sometimes get feedback in the form of seeing a life changed, or a person moving in the right direction. By faith let us continue to edify and encourage one another while we can.

1 Thessalonians 5:11-14 gives this advice,
“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.”

"God let us by faith encourage those in our sphere of influence while we are able. God help me to remember the results are up to you. Amen."

Today Praise God early, often and heartily.
