Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

The final signing of the forms, the final sealing of the envelope, and the placing of it in the mailbox is a time of victory for me at tax time. It is such a relief to have all things necessary completed. “Signed, sealed, and delivered,” as the song says.

It reminds me of the last proclamation Jesus made as He was on the cross.

“It is finished!” Jesus said. (John 19:30)

As He hung on the cross, His mind searched from the beginning of time all the way to the end of eternity, making sure each charge of the devil was answered, as well as each prophesy that had been made concerning His time on earth was fulfilled. Not another moment of suffering was allowed to take place. As soon as the requirements were paid in full, Jesus gave up the ghost and went to be with the Father.

I rejoice in the finished work of Christ on the cross and in the continuing process He is completing in me.

Rejoice today in His completion of the task the Father sent Him to do.
