IT'S HEATING UP IN ARKANSAS... AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING.

The Arkansas State law has a regulation that the state will not issue drivers licenses that have information chips in them. Privacy concerns top the reasons.

Now however, with this new bill there is a very sinister phrase planted in this new bill, sort of like a secret chip, that would supplant our former law in a little recognized way. The villain is on page 4 of the bill I have linked to, and in particular it is in lines 15 and 16.

ARK bill

(e) In addition to the requirements of this subchapter, a voluntary
11 enhanced security driver’s license, voluntary enhanced security commercial
12 driver’s license, or voluntary enhanced security identification card issued
13 under this subchapter shall be subject to all provisions of the Driver's
14 License Security and Modernization Act, § 27-16-1101 et seq.

15 (f) If another provision of Arkansas law conflicts with the provisions
16 of this subchapter, the provisions of this subchapter shall control.

Now... does Arkansas' legislative body realize that they are attempting to write into law, a law, that is in opposition to another standing law... or are they just stupid?

We will see.
