Well, now that Jerry Falwell has died, (no animosity intended...seriously) someone must rise up to take the lead in pronouncing that the consequences of living on a dynamic planet is the result of "God's judgment" against "sin".
This is in the same mentality as those that go the same way...just with a little different slant...that the planet is going to a "global warming" hell in a hand basket...and it is now the planet playing God in judging totally sinful and selfish humanity. (Wow, if the global warming alarmists ever figure out that they are in the same camp as Falwell...oh the weeping and wailing!) Smile ((Perhaps someday folks will figure out that if we want to live on a dynamic planet that that by definition means "change" is to be expected...that is part of being "dynamic".))
Anyway...who is taking the "religious high-road" of "finger-pointing" and blaming a few "floods" around the globe on our "sins"?
Are you ready for this???
OK...here we go...it is the....
Church of England!
I think I'm rather in shock? I didn't know that the Church of England was part of the right-winged, fundamentalists, conspiratorial mind setted radicalized extremists such as Jerry often labeled himself when pronouncing woe and judgment against America and other societies?
Floods are judgment on society, say bishops

The floods that have devastated swathes of the country are God's judgment on the immorality and greed of modern society, according to senior Church of England bishops.
Bishop of Carlisle: Floods are judgment on society
The Bishop said pro-gay laws were to blame for the floods
One diocesan bishop has even claimed that laws that have undermined marriage, including the introduction of pro-gay legislation, have provoked God to act by sending the storms that have left thousands of people homeless.
While those who have been affected by the storms are innocent victims, the bishops argue controversially that the flooding is a result of Western civilization's decision to ignore biblical teaching.
The Rt Rev Graham Dow, Bishop of Carlisle, argued that the floods are not just a result of a lack of respect for the planet, but also a judgment on society's moral decadence.
"This is a strong and definite judgment because the world has been arrogant in going its own way," he said. "We are reaping the consequences of our moral degradation, as well as the environmental damage that we have caused."
Notice how the good Bishop ties the environment's judgment to man's effect..."that we have caused," with God's judgment against "moral" sins using the environment.
The bishop, who is a leading evangelical, said that people should heed the stories of the Bible, which described the downfall of the Roman empire as a result of its immorality.
Where does the bible describe the downfall of the Roman Empire since it didn't happen for a few hundred years after the last book of the NT was coined?

I guess vacuums don't stay empty long and the vacuum left by Jerry's absence seems to have been filled rather quickly.
