We must have the kind of forgiveness Jesus has encouraged us to have in the prayer He shared with His Disciples in Luke 11:4 where he prayed,

“and forgive our sins; for we also forgive everyone who has sinned against us.”

God’s forgiveness to us cancels our debt to Him, never to bring it up again.
