Yahweh... Preparing His Children for Receiving His Promises


Faithful God... we are being moved from God being just a scribed set of laws on stone... to a God who is present... and personal.

Deuteronomy 7:9
"Know that Yahweh your God is God, the faithful God who keeps His gracious covenant loyalty for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commands."
(Holman Christian Standard Bible)

The word "covenant" simply and literally means "to cut."

Yahweh personally "cut" or scribed the Commandments onto the stone tablets... however... Yahweh is not going to obliquely become just another "god of stone" but rather The God that not only cut the law... but also would personally bless those who kept the law... in other words... Yahweh is a God who enters into a Personal Relationship with man.
