Sunday, December 27th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.
John Wesley was walking one day with a troubled man who expressed his doubt of God’s goodness. “I don’t know what I shall do with all this worry and trouble,” he said. At that moment Wesley noticed a cow looking over a stone wall. “Do you know,” asked Wesley, “why that cow is looking over that wall?” “No,” replied his troubled companion. “I will tell you,” said Wesley—“because she cannot see through it. That is what you must do with your wall of trouble—look over it and above it.”
Faith enables us to look over and above every trouble, to God, who is our help.
When we can’t see how everything is going to work out let us pray as the apostles; recorded by the writer of Luke 17:5,
“Lord increase our faith.”
"God, You are able to handle my every situation. Help me to trust You more.
Amen."
The just shall live by faith.
(Romans 1:17)
