Thursday, November 12th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.
A little boy, being asked what forgiveness is, gave the beautiful answer: “It is the odor that flowers breathe when they are trampled upon.”
When life crushes us, what kind of Savor do we reveal? Is it one of smoke, fire, and an acrid aroma of bitterness, or is it an essence of the fruits of the Spirit?
The apostle Paul, in writing to the church at Galatia, gives us this encouragement:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
(Galatians 5:22-25)
"God, let others see and hear Jesus in and through me.
Amen."
