Wednesday, August 5th. Today's cherished Nugget from guest blogger Pastor Bill.

“Stewardship is not a classroom exercise in fractions. It is a homework assignment in total living.”
(Kenneth L. Wilson)

I often hear people choking on the question of “What do I have to give God?” This is the same question asked of Jesus more than once in regard to having eternal life.

Jesus started by telling them to keep the written laws. Then He brought up the issue of money, and at least one went away sorrowfully (Matthew 19:16-21) because the money had his heart.
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
(Matthew 6:21)

As the rich young ruler found out, we all face a test, not by percentages, but a pass/fail test. In other words, it is all or nothing.

"God, help me to walk with You obediently in all areas.
Amen."

Give Him Glory, Honor, and praise.
